One of the branches of the social work of the Church is the service it offers among the elderly, a service which is subsidized considerably. The Church has under its direct responsibility five homes in which 303 persons reside. Besides these homes, there are nine others which are run by members of religious orders and which house 359 residents.

On Saturday 8th October 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited the community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition in Rabat as part of his pastoral visit.
