ECUMENICAL VISIT TO RUSSIA

A longtime friend of leaders in the Russian Orthodox Church, Cardinal Roger Etchegaray visited Russia for Pentecost, inviting the faithful to “walk by the Spirit” in bettering relations between the two Churches.

Cardinal Etchegaray is vice dean of the College of Cardinals. He served as president of the Pontifical Councils Cor Unum and for Justice and Peace.

THE CHURCH HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN TOUCH WITH MALTESE FAMILIES – ARCHBISHOP

CHURCH MULTIPLIES RESOURCES TO FIGHT SEX ABUSE

A conference at the Pontifical Gregorian University in February and an electronic database with best practices and research results are two more means the Church is offering to the global fight against sexual abuse.

The Feb. 6-8, 2012, conference, “Toward Healing and Renewal,” was presented at the Gregorian on Saturday.

ECUMENICAL DIALOGUE MEETING

The nature of Ministry is the title of the next public ecumenical dialogue meeting to be held on Thursday, 23rd June 2011. The meeting is organised by Christians together in Malta (Malta Ecumenical Council). It will be held from 6 to7pm at St. Andrews House, Old Bakery street, Valletta.
