A longtime friend of leaders in the Russian Orthodox Church, Cardinal Roger Etchegaray visited Russia for Pentecost, inviting the faithful to “walk by the Spirit” in bettering relations between the two Churches.
Cardinal Etchegaray is vice dean of the College of Cardinals. He served as president of the Pontifical Councils Cor Unum and for Justice and Peace.

In his message during a Mass celebrated for members of the Moviment Zwieg bla Divorzju, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. said that he wished it had been possible for the Church to make a greater financial contribution in order to help the Movement inform the public regarding the negative effects of divorce: “By contributing financially to avert the introduction of divorce in our country, we have done our duty”… Read more »
sexual abuse
A conference at the Pontifical Gregorian University in February and an electronic database with best practices and research results are two more means the Church is offering to the global fight against sexual abuse.
The Feb. 6-8, 2012, conference, “Toward Healing and Renewal,” was presented at the Gregorian on Saturday.

The nature of Ministry is the title of the next public ecumenical dialogue meeting to be held on Thursday, 23rd June 2011. The meeting is organised by Christians together in Malta (Malta Ecumenical Council). It will be held from 6 to7pm at St. Andrews House, Old Bakery street, Valletta.
