‘What comparison can I find for this generation? It is like children shouting to each other as they sit in the market place:  We played the pipes for you, and you wouldn’t dance; we sang dirges, and you wouldn’t be mourners. ‘For Johnman came, eating and drinking, and they say, “Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.” Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.’ came, neither eating nor drinking, and they say, “He is possessed.” The Son of

ORDER DONATES 8 MILLION EURO TO THE HOLY LAND

During this past year, members of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem sent almost €8 million ($10.7 million) in donations to the Holy Land.

The Pope said this today upon receiving in audience Fernando Sanchez Campos, the new ambassador of Costa Rica to the Holy See, who presented his letters of credence.

The Holy Father congratulated that nation on the Jubilee Year that is under way that marks the 375th anniversary of the discovery of the image of Our Lady of the Angels, the national patron… Read more »

‘Tell me. Suppose a man has a hundred sheep and one of them strays; will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go in search of the stray? In truth I tell you, if he finds it, it gives him more joy than do the ninety-nine that did not stray at all. Similarly, it is never the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost… Read more »

F’dawn l-iskejjel, sa issa, kienu jidħlu b’mod “awtomatiku”  tfal mid-djar tal-Knisja, aħwa li għandhom ħuthom f’xi skola tal-Knisja, xi tfal ikkunsidrati bħala każijiet umanitarji gravi u tfal oħra li jintgħażlu bil-polza. Ma’ dawn il-kriterji qed jiżdiedu żewġ kriterji ġodda li pjuttost huma estensjoni ta’ dawk diġà eżistenti… Read more »
