CARDINAL LEADS BARCELONA IN READYING PAPAL VISIT

Barcelona is preparing for Benedict XVI’s visit by reflecting on St. Peter, the architect of the church the Pope will dedicate, and the example of the Holy Family.

A booklet with seven catecheses on these three topics has been distributed throughout Spain.

ST.JOHN BOSCO’S RELICS TOUR CENTRAL AMERICA

When Jesus received this news he withdrew by boat to a lonely place where they could be by themselves. But the crowds heard of this and, leaving the towns, went after him on foot. So as he stepped ashore he saw a large crowd; and he took pity on them and healed their sick. POPE TO PRAY FOR HOMELESS AND UNEMPLOYED

Benedict XVI will be praying in August for the homeless and jobless, as well as those who are experience another type of serious need.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for August. His general prayer intention is: “That those who are without work or homes or who are otherwise in serious need may find understanding and welcome, as well as concrete help in overcoming their difficulties.”
