60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SCHUMAN DECLARATION

Robert Schuman

CARD. VINGT-TROIS, “PROPHET OF A POSSIBLE CONSTRUCTION”

“It was necessary to have great visions; it was necessary to be able to decide and pave the way to reconciliation after so many tragic conflicts in Europe. It was necessary to check weapons, but it was also necessary to start a new way of living together”. Robert Schuman managed to do that, stated Cardinal André Vingt-Trois, archbishop of Paris, yesterday, during the homily of the Mass at the cathedral of Metz, on the 60th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration (9 May 1950)… Read more »

At the Granaries, the Pope himself told us that “this joy is able to transform our lives and fill us with hope for the realization of God’s promises”… Read more »

Il-pożizzjoni assoluta tal-Knisja Kattolika favur il-ħajja mit-tnissil sal-mewt naturali hi artikulata sew fit-tagħlim etiku u morali tagħha. Fi ftit kliem, ladarba jseħħ it-tnissil, jew il-konċepiment, ħadd ma għandu jedd fuq dik il-ħajja ġdida.

Din il-pożizzjoni spiss tpoġġiha f’oppożizzjoni, u għalhekk hija tiġi kkritikata, mill-komunità…
