1a Clarification
This criterion is not applicable for Kinder 1, but applies for Form 1.
1b Clarification
Children of employees who work in a Kinder or Primary Church School in Gozo may apply for admission in Kinder 1. Children of employees who work in a Secondary Church School in Gozo or with the Secretariat for Catholic Education may apply for Kinder 1 under criterion 1d.
Children of employees who work in a Kinder or Primary or Secondary Church School in Gozo may apply for admission in Form 1 under criterion 1b
The parent / custodian should have been enrolled full-time, latest, during the first part of the scholastic year prior to the scholastic year of admission and has to still be full-time employed with a Church school in Gozo at the beginning of scholastic year of admission.
1c Clarification
For entry into Kinder 1 for Church Schools in Gozo, siblings need to be in the same Kindergarten or Primary school you are applying for.
For entry into Form 1 for Church Schools in Gozo, siblings need to be in the same Secondary school you are applying for.
Eligible for this criterion:
- Siblings, from the same parents / custodians and who are residing in the same house and form part of the same family.

For the application to be considered, one needs to submit relevant documents and a declaration under oath taken in front of a notary, made by both parents / custodians, indicating the number of hours the children live together in the same house.

cause for this situation. In these cases, the Admissions Board will determine if the
reasonable cause presented is justified or not.
- Children who are adopted or in foster care and are living with a family who have
other children attending a church school. Adopted or fostered children are
considered siblings to the children of the family they live with. For the application to
be considered one needs to submit the Certificate from the competent agency that
indicates that the child is adopted or is fostered within the family.
1d Clarification
Children of employees who work in a Secondary Church School in Gozo or with the Secretariat for Catholic Education may apply for Kinder 1.
Children of employees who work with the Secretariat for Catholic Education may apply for Form 1. Children of employees who work in a Secondary Church School in Gozo may apply for Form 1 under criterion 1b.
1e Clarification
Social Cases – Children under Care Order fall in this category. This category does not cover cases which are presented with only one of the following reasons: children of unmarried mothers; separation in marriage; adoption; fostering. Also see Criteria 1c regarding adopted and fostered children.
Asylum Cases – This applies if the child or their parents / custodians are seeking asylum.
1f Clarification
If you reside in Għasri and you are applying according to criterion 1f for a place at Laura Vicuna School, a copy of one of the parents’ / custodians’ Identity Card is to be uploaded and a declaration that the children live in Għasri, signed by a professional (for example. notary, priest, teacher) who would have known one of the parents / custodians for at least two years.

The available places for applicants in Form 1 boys under serious cases with the support of an L.S.E have been filled by the first criteria applications.
Therefore, we will not be able to accept any applications for Form 1 boys under serious cases with the support of an L.S.E.
Applications for Revision of Statement for the removal of L.S.E will be accepted for Form 1 boys.
Statemented Shared particular lessons / particular times, applies only to Form 1 students- When an applicant already has a statement of needs and is supported by an L.S.E. but has registered progress and the parents / custodians, the school and the educational psychologist deem that s / he may advance without the assistance of an LSE and have submitted a request to the Statementing Moderating Panel Board for the removal of the L.S.E. by the 31st October 2024, the applicant initially needs to apply as mainstream and needs to present the request for the removal of the L.S.E. and other relevant documents. The Admissions Board will determine if the application is to proceed in mainstream or as a serious case.
