On Thursday 29th April, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP will leave Malta for Canada and New York on a pastoral visit to the Maltese communities in Toronto, Detroit and New York.
Archbishop Cremona will arrive at Toronto International Airport on Friday, 30th April at 2.30 a.m (Malta time). UK Bishops arms
The bishops of England and Wales are encouraging their faithful to use the four Fridays of this May as special days of prayer regarding the scandal of sexual abuse by clergy.

Pope Benedict XVI in the UK
The Pope’s visit to Britain will not be affected by a leaked memo which appeared to mock the Catholic Church, the Vatican has said.
The Foreign Office has apologised over the paper resulting from a “brainstorm” which said the Pope could bless a gay marriage or open an abortion clinic.
UK newspaper reports have quoted Vatican sources as saying the September visit could now be in doubt… Read more »
On Sunday, 25th April, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP visited the Puttinu Cares fund-raising marathon at the Marsa sports grounds. A total of €387,525 were raised after three days of sports activities. The amount raised will fund premises in London for young cancer patients and their families.

Pope in Cyprus
Officials at the embassy of Cyprus before the Holy See are affirming the “historic importance” of Benedict XVI’s visit to the island, scheduled for June 4-6.
